The Forestry Department of the Directorate of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Daraa has completed the implementation of the production and afforestation plan for the current season by producing 200,000 diverse forest plants and afforestation of 230 hectares in different locations.
The head of the Forestry Department, Eng. Jamil Al-Abdullah, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the department implemented the reclamation plan by returning five hectares for investment, building a 2-km-long forest road and renovating a 1.5-km-long road, indicating that the aim of the forestry plan is to increase the area of forested area, maintain vegetation cover, and rehabilitate and develop areas that I was subjected to tampering, burning and fires.
