Survey: Tertiary graduates are worried about employment, more than six respondents are willing to work in the Mainland

In addition, more than 50% of the respondents expressed their intention to do internships in the Mainland, and one-third of them wanted to do internships in the Greater Bay Area, and Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou were the most popular cities for internships.

Lu Xianyan, vice president of foreign affairs of the Hong Kong Outstanding Post-secondary Student Service Association, said that he is interested in learning more about the Greater Bay Area, but he is most worried about the living environment in the mainland. He hopes the government can provide more relevant information.

Li Zhenqiang, a member of the Liberal Party Legislative Council, said that in the future, the Education Bureau and the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau should strengthen cross-bureau cooperation to provide young people with more information on jobs and internships in the Mainland.

Deng Fei, a member of the Legislative Council, pointed out that universities can arrange for students to go to the mainland for internships for a month or a semester, so that students have the opportunity to experience the work culture of the mainland.
