The manager of a bar in Nice where a body was discovered on Wednesday "
walled up in a sarcophagus
" and his alleged accomplice were brought before an investigating judge, the prosecution announced on Friday July 1.

The investigating judge decided to present the two men on Friday "
with a view to their indictment for murder and modification of the crime scene
", said the public prosecutor of Nice, Xavier Bonhomme, in a press release, specifying that he had requested "
a warrant of deposit for the two respondents
".
Following the disappearance of a 34-year-old man last February and the opening on May 6 of a judicial investigation for "
kidnapping, forcible confinement followed by death
", a search was carried out on Wednesday in a bar in the center of Nice, the Atrium, located rue de France near the Promenade des Anglais.
A second suspect confessed
The police, helped by the firefighters, discovered "
a body immured in a concrete sarcophagus as well as the presence of numerous traces of blood
", explained the public prosecutor of Nice, Xavie Bonhomme, in a press release.
Heard in police custody, the manager of the brasserie bar admitted "
being the author of the murder
" and specified "
having acted alone, both for the homicide and for the concealment of the body and the cleaning of the premises
", specified the prosecutor.

But a second suspect admitted having "
kicked the victim and then witnessed the murder
" committed by the manager.
According to a police source, it was the testimony of a relative of the missing man who put the police on the trail of the cafe manager.
