The Lattakia Customs Directorate announced a public auction for the sale of leftovers that have passed the legal preservation period at the Lattakia Customs Secretariat, on Wednesday, August 10.

According to the statement of the directorate, SANA received a copy of it today, that the public auction will take place at 11 am at its headquarters, where those wishing to participate in this auction can come to the directorate with identification papers that include an application for participation in the auction with a legal stamp on it, a copy of the identity card, a document that is not judged, and a recent commercial or industrial record. And duly authenticated.

The bidder must also pay the amount of the security deposit owed by him according to a bank notification for each commodity he wishes to purchase, provided that he is not deprived of participating in public auctions or contracting with the state or having any obligation towards the customs administration that has not been completed to date.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the Secretary of Lattakia Customs Muhannad Ajeel explained that the items of the public auction include “fabrics, artificial leather, various threads, ceramic adhesives, used car spare parts, spare parts for home ovens, and so on.”

Ajeel pointed out that the secretariat will conduct a number of auctions later on the seized and abandoned goods in its warehouses, which will contribute to achieving additional returns and revenues for the public treasury.

In a related context, the Aleppo Customs Directorate announced a similar public auction for the sale of goods located in the warehouses of the Aleppo Customs Secretariat, at 12 noon on 22, 23 and 24 this month, provided that the person wishing to participate in the auction is accompanied by supporting documents, with a preferential advantage for the public entities participating in the auction by 15 percent of the highest price reached.

In a statement to SANA, Director of Aleppo Customs Hafez Qassem explained that the seized goods included in the announced auction include (knitted fabrics, furniture, various threads, plastic and metal containers of various shapes), stressing that those wishing to participate in the auction can inspect the mentioned goods on the 17th and 18th of this month, noting that there will be a number of Similar auctions in the coming months.
