Münster: tanker crashes into a rowing boat – rowers are lucky

There was a collision between a rowing boat and a tanker in Münster on Thursday.
The four occupants were just able to save themselves.
Münster – On Thursday evening (4 August) at around 19:35 hrs on the Dortmund-Ems canal near Münster (NRW) there was a violent collision between a four-wheeler and a motor tanker.
The four occupants (33 to 39 years) were able to save themselves just in time.
The boat capsized due to the severe impact, as reported by 24RHEIN.
The four rowers were lucky and got away with a fright: They only suffered minor injuries and did not have to be hospitalized, according to the responsible police in Duisburg.

The entire bow area of the rowing boat was dented by the collision.
There was no damage to the tanker.
The Dortmund-Ems Canal is a federal waterway between the port of Dortmund and Papenburg/Ems.
It is 64.9 kilometers long.
