Four years ago, the southern Bavarian autobahn informed the public about the widening of the A92 federal autobahn.

But how far along are the preparations, when should the expansion to six lanes start?

District

- At the moment the A92 project, six-lane expansion between the Munich-Feldmoching motorway triangle and the Neufahrn motorway junction, is still in the planning approval process with the government of Upper Bavaria, says Josef Seebacher, spokesman for the southern Bavarian motorway.

Parallel to the process, the first plans for the construction preparation are being made.

"The goal of the Autobahn Südbayern is to start the measure quickly with the existing building permit.

The project has a very high priority,” says Seebacher.

400 million euros cost

According to the current status and essentially dependent on the progress of the building law, construction is expected to start in 2024. The first construction phase is the six-lane expansion between the Oberschleißheim and Unterschleißheim junctions.

The costs amount to around 400 million euros.

A construction period of around eight years is planned for the implementation of the overall project while maintaining traffic, explains Seebacher.
