An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was recorded early this Friday between the Mexican states of Guerrero and Michoacán, according to a preliminary report from the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English). .
The earthquake had a depth of 64 kilometers, according to the USGS report.
The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said on Twitter that he had received information that the seismic alert sounded and that the earthquake had been 5.3, as also reported by the National Seismological of Mexico.
The first information I received is that the seismic alert sounded;
the epicenter was in Huetamo, Michoacán, but of low magnitude: 5.3.
