Other fire brigade units were therefore alerted, as were farmers and landscape gardeners with their liquid manure barrels.
Among them was Hermann Greif, a farmer from Pinzberg and at the same time the President of the Upper Franconian Farmers' Association.

In the heat of the moment, Greif couldn't say exactly how many farmers supported the fire brigade: "It's hard to say, but I think between twelve and fifteen are on the road right now.
The barrels I saw were somewhere between five cubic meters and fifteen cubic meters, so I think about a hundred cubic meters of water are constantly in use there,” he estimated during the operation.
The police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
