The European Union confirmed that it received the Iranian regime's response to the draft agreement: "We are studying it and consulting with the other participants in the agreement" • Yesterday the deadline that the European representatives set for Tehran, in an effort to revive the original nuclear agreement from 2015, expired

The American Secretary of State is working on the reservations that the Islamic Republic submitted last night (Monday) regarding the draft of the nuclear agreement.

The European Union also confirmed this evening that it had received the regime's answer.

"We received the Iranian response yesterday evening. We are studying it and are consulting with the other participants in the agreement and with the US on the way forward," said Union spokeswoman Nabila Masrali.

In the meantime, the members of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament gathered earlier today at the Iranian National Security Council, where Foreign Minister Amir Abdulkhian and Ali Bagari Kani, the regime's representative for talks with the powers, were present.

The last chance

As a reminder, the deadline that the European representatives set for Tehran, in an effort to revive the original nuclear agreement from 2015, expired yesterday.

The parties insisted that this was the last chance to reach an agreement, after months of discussions within the framework of the "Vienna talks".

The regime in Tehran demands the removal of all sanctions on its economy, as well as the cessation of the investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding a suspicious substance that was allegedly found in several facilities on Iranian territory. Also, in Tehran they demand that the USA remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of organizations Terrorism, something that Washington refuses to do.

"verbal flexibility"

Before the Iranian answer was given, Abdulkhian elaborated: "The US has shown verbal flexibility on two issues.

It should be written," the Iranian official explained. "They should also be realistic about the issue of guarantees," he added.

The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Gary Kani, and on the other side are present the representatives of the countries that signed the original nuclear agreement from 2015: China, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and France, with the USA participating in the negotiations "indirectly", through the representative of President J. And Biden for talks, Robert Malley.

The entire process is overseen by Enrique Mora, the deputy commissioner for foreign policy of the European Union.
