In the holiday village "Al Hayam" in Givat Olga, the closing ceremony of the "Bnei Hail" holiday and camping site was held last Wednesday.

Every year, the "Bnei Hail" vacation takes place thanks to the cooperation between the IDF and the association "Together for the Soldier", thanks to the contribution of donors from Canada, in which dozens of orphans and widows participate for five days. The vacation is a kind of time-out for the participants From the daily routine, and a connection to the special and powerful community of IDF widows and orphans.

Apart from the many contents, performances and activities that the participants go through, there is also another and unique side to the "Bnei Ha'il" meeting: those boys and girls, widowers and widowers come to one place and even though they came from different and varied backgrounds, the meeting bridges the gaps and unites the participants with the understanding that they all came with the same Circumstances, and with the same fate complicity.

The camp's faculty is made up mostly of IDF servicemen and in particular from the casualty system, and in this way they build adapted content for the population of widows and orphans. Some of the camp instructors have another special common denominator, some of them are IDF orphans themselves, who throughout their childhood years They spent time and gained experiences at the summer camp and now they come full circle when they come to guide it themselves.

One of the instructors who is coming full circle at this year's camp is Adrat, who currently serves as a casualty coordinator. "My father was killed before I was born, I was in my mother's womb.

In the first year, my mother came for vacation, and I was in the womb.

So I'm in this place really from the stomach.

I was one of the first to open the nursery school and from there every year at summer camp until last year, Adrat said and added: "This place for me is a second home, a place where I feel the safest and most free, everyone understands me without me having to explain."

She speaks enthusiastically about coming full circle as an instructor at the camp: "I knew that when I enlisted I would become an instructor. It was important for me to give the feeling and the memory I had from the camp as a trainee: the excitement in the morning, the experiences and especially the friends. And so it happened, this year I came as an instructor, I was excited every That's how to get there. I'm so thankful for the privilege. For me, it's a crazy closing of the circle: I was privileged to be here both on the side of the apprentice and on the side of the instructor."

The head of the personnel department, General Yaniv Asor, came to the closing ceremony of the camp, who concluded the week of the camp.

"In the first month of military service, every soldier swears allegiance to the State of Israel and the IDF.

The commander reads the wording of the oath and everyone reads with great intent: I swear!

The wording of the oath is, among other things, to surrender all the powers of the soul, and even to sacrifice one's life for the security of the State of Israel.

"To this oath is added another oath as an echo of the oath of the soldiers and the female soldiers, the oath of the commanders, and even of the entire nation. An oath that if, God forbid, something happens - we as an army and as a nation will be with you and by your side all the way. We will take care of every need and lack," said General Assur.

Your parents gave their lives so that we would have a state, independence and sovereignty and that the eternity of Israel would not lie.

Ensuring Israel's security and independence is the mission of the IDF. Your parents are the roots and you are the hopes, dreams and future of the State of Israel."

Yaron Barry, CEO of Together for the Soldier, said: "It was important to us to create an experience that would on the one hand give IDF widows a respite from the daily grind and on the other hand create a connection for their children with other children who face the same difficult reality of childhood in the shadow of bereavement. Thanks to our donors from Canada And for the wonderful volunteers, we were able to produce a program that was an experience on the one hand and meaningful on the other."
