The incident was suspected to be caused by someone using incense sticks to set fire to the clothes hanging outside the unit. The police arrested an 11-year-old boy on suspicion of arson on the day of the incident and reclassified the arson case as a manslaughter case today (22nd). , Wong Tai Sin Police District Major Crime Squad continues to investigate the case.

The boy has been released on bail pending investigation and must report to the police in mid-September.

The incident occurred at around 2 pm last Thursday. Smoke billowed from a unit on the 3rd floor of Ledong Building in Lok Fu Village.
