The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, discussed with Yang Shuo, Chargé d'Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Damascus, ways to enhance cooperation between Syria and China in the field of communications.
Minister Al-Khatib stressed during the meeting at the ministry's building today the importance of cooperation and work with Chinese telecom companies to rehabilitate the telecom network in Syria, which helps boost the economy and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
In turn, Yang stressed his country's keenness to overcome all difficulties that stand in the way of any cooperation with Syria in the field of communications, stressing the firmness of the Chinese position in support of Syria and its people since the beginning of the terrorist war against which it was exposed.
