The joint Iraqi forces announced today the launch of a large-scale security operation in Nineveh Governorate, in the north of the country, to hunt down the remnants of ISIS terrorists.
And the Iraqi News Agency, INA, quoted the Popular Mobilization Authority as saying in a statement today that "a joint force launched an operation to search the banks of the Tigris River, at a distance of seven kilometers, to the Badush areas."
The commission added, "The force continues its inspections to prevent the presence of ISIS terrorist cells in the aforementioned areas."
Last week, the joint Iraqi forces announced the launch of a large-scale security operation in southern Samarra to hunt down the remnants of ISIS terrorists.
