According to well-informed circles, the lease for the building opposite Freising train station will end next year.
It is uncertain whether it will be extended.
The Postbank is therefore currently looking for another suitable property.

Is the Postbank moving in Freising?
A spokesman for the company confirms that they are looking for a location.
Freising
– It is an institution opposite the Freising train station and has been for many years: the Postbank, which also offers all Deutsche Post services.
But their future is in the stars, at least as far as their location is concerned.
According to informed circles, the lease ends next year and it is uncertain whether it will be extended.
Hartmut Schlegel, spokesman for Postbank, confirmed this to the FT when asked.
"We want to stay in Freising with our branch," he assures.
“We are currently exploring various options to achieve this goal.
This also means that we look at other suitable properties that might come into question.” No decisions have yet been made.
The move would affect all postal services
One thing is certain: there will be no physical separation between Postbank and other postal services, such as the posting and collection of parcels and letters.
If Postbank moves, this also applies to the rest of the range of services, as Schlegel explains: “Postbank does not operate any branches where postal services are not offered.
Every Postbank branch is also a partner branch of Deutsche Post AG.”
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
A Postbank move would be a bitter loss for the district town of Freising, even if Deutsche Post only opened a branch in downtown Freising in November 2021, which has generated a lot of positive feedback.
Because its predecessor, the popular "Stadtpost", had already closed its revolving doors around the turn of the millennium.
Since then, there hasn't been an independent post office in Freising's center.
The "Stadtpost" receives great ratings and yet has a flaw
To date, the store has only received five-star ratings on Google.
There is talk of “super service”.
But the branch on Oberen Hauptstrasse is still only open part-time: on weekday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
