The National Day is approaching, and various activities are held to celebrate it.
President of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association, Shi Lide, together with the permanent honorary presidents Huang Youjia, Shi Ronghuai, Wu Hongbin, member of the Legislative Council Wu Yongjia, and other representatives of the association and middle school students of the Manufacturers' Association, sang "I Love You, China" to express patriotic feelings.
"I Love You, China" is an episode of the 1979 film "Overseas Babies". The film depicts the suffering of returned overseas Chinese during the Cultural Revolution. After the Gang of Four fell from power, China was reformed and opened up, and the heroine also regained her artistic life.
According to the Manufacturers Association, the song conveys enthusiasm for China's land, and in 2019, it was rated as one of the "100 Excellent Songs to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" by the Central Propaganda Department.
Manufacturers will point out that they are both contributors and beneficiaries in the process of reform and opening up. They hope that with the song "I Love You, China", they will sing the family and country feelings of Hong Kong manufacturers and send blessings to the country.
