A man stabbed his partner to death and then took his own life in Villabate, a town on the outskirts of Palermo.
The victim is Giovanna Bonsignore, 44, the companion who killed her Salvatore Patinella, 41.
Giovanna Bonsignore, a volunteer of the Archè association, had been fighting for about a month with Salvatore Patinella, with whom she had been having an affair for 4 years.
There are no reports of ill-treatment or interventions by the carabinieri.
The soldiers of the Misilmeri company seized the house to carry out the surveys and the knife used by Patinella to kill her partner and take her own life.

Some friends were alarmed and called the police who entered the house thanks to the intervention of the firefighters and found the woman killed with several stab wounds and the man who committed suicide with the same weapon.

"I apologize to my parents, to our families, to my sisters and brothers, to my nephews, but no less to my cronies, for me as brothers, unique, wonderful and special people and to all the people who loved us, despite the atrocious gesture that I am about to do," he added.
