The Development Bureau stated that it will not abandon the Tuen Mun West Line, and will include a section of the Tuen Mun East Station in Siu Lam to the Tuen Mun West Pillar of the River Pier, which will be included in the start-up plan for Lung Kwu Tan next year.
Director Ning Hanhao emphasized at the meeting that the study on the development of Lung Kwu Tan will be submitted to the Legislative Council for discussion soon, and the Tuen Mun East Station will also reserve connection slots for future connections.

However, Tian Beichen "does not accept the goods" in this regard, and believes that including the extension line from Siu Lam Tuen Mun East Station to Riverside Ferry Terminal into the study of Lung Kwu Tan will delay the completion of this section of the railway or even be indefinitely.
He emphasized that the development can be divided into two sections. First, build the section from Siu Lam Tuen Mun East Station to Tuen Mun South Station near the current Tuen Mun Swimming Pool, and incorporate it into the planning of the artificial island in the central waters to facilitate the population of 500,000 in the area.
As for the section from Tuen Mun South Station to Tuen Mun West Wanghou Shek Neihe Ferry Pier, since houses are being built in the area and no one has lived in it, it can be included in the study on Lung Kwu Tan.
