Drunk family man builds an accident and then flees with an injured 7-year-old

A man caused an accident in Großmehring and fled.
Later, an alcohol test revealed a value of over two per thousand.

A father crashed his car and seven-year-old daughter into a tree on Sunday afternoon not far from Ingolstadt.
He then fled the scene of the accident.
Großmehring – The police could not initially determine whether he was still drunk from the previous New Year's Eve.
In any case, on Sunday afternoon, January 1, in Großmehring (Eichstätt district), she picked up a man who had just caused a car accident and then fled.
To make matters worse, his seven-year-old daughter was also on board.
Accident near Ingolstadt: Father flees from the scene of the accident with his injured daughter
According to the press release from the Ingolstadt Traffic Police Inspectorate, the accident happened around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
A 31-year-old from Ingolstadt was driving his car on State Road 2231 from Theissing in the direction of Demling.
In a left turn, he left the road without any external influence and crashed into a tree and a grit container.
After the car came to a stop, the 31-year-old grabbed his seven-year-old daughter, who was also on board, and disappeared.
The police immediately launched a manhunt for the man who caused the accident.
Several patrols searched the surrounding area and found him a short time later.
It quickly became apparent that both had been injured in the accident.
Police say the seven-year-old suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The father was only slightly injured and was treated on site by a paramedic.
Police detect the smell of alcohol in the accident
When officers later recorded the accident, they noticed the man smelled of alcohol.
They let him blow into the tube and the result was more than two parts per thousand.
The rescue service took blood from him for a later proof of his blood alcohol level in court.
To make matters worse, the police found that the man did not have a valid driver's license.
Several ads await him now – among other things, for endangering road traffic, unauthorized leaving from the scene of an accident, negligent bodily harm and driving without a license.
His car had to be towed away by a towing service.
Property damage of around 11,000 euros was caused to the car and the tree.
