(CNN Spanish) -
Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay formally presented this Tuesday the joint candidacy to host the Men's Soccer World Cup in 2030, an old desire that is beginning to take shape.
The presentation was made at the headquarters of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in the Buenos Aires town of Ezeiza, and was attended by the region's top football leaders, including: Alejandro Domínguez, president of Conmebol and Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, head of AFA.
In 2030, 100 years have passed since the first World Cup in history was held, which was held in Uruguay, so the idea of the South American leaders is that it be a kind of tribute to that first tournament.

In addition to Uruguay, Chile and Argentina already organized the World Cup in 1962 and 1978, respectively.
Moments before the start of the presentation of the joint candidacy, the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, asked to add Bolivia among the organizers.
He did it through a message on his Twitter account, in which he celebrated the possibility of Argentina once again hosting the World Cup.
This candidacy is from the entire continent.
For this reason, I would like and I am going to propose that our sister country #Bolivia be part of this dream.
