The Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior indicated the condition of the roads as a result of the prevailing weather conditions.
The administration indicated that all roads in the governorates are passable, with the exception of a number of roads in Lattakia governorate that are not passable due to the formation of ice and snow accumulation.
In the countryside of Lattakia… the road to Beit Yashout al-Manizala in Chile is impassable due to the formation of snow, and the road “Jubet Burghal al-Ghab and al-Sha’ra al-Ghab, the Maqamat of Bani Hashem” is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to use fog lights, check brakes, reduce speed at turns, slopes and road junctions, and drive carefully to avoid accidents, noting that it had allocated phone numbers 5422703- 5411365 to inquire about road conditions.
