If it is still too early to definitively claim victory, the hardest part seems to be over for the tricolor electrical system.
While RTE alerted last September to a “risk of increased tension” on the electricity system this winter, the manager of the electricity transmission network now judges that it is “largely
ruled out
”.
"
Most of the risks relating to the security of electricity supply for this winter have now been ruled out
", reads the latest update of RTE's winter analysis, published on Friday.
Thus, the manager announces that the risk of tension on the electricity network for the rest of the winter
has been lowered from “
medium
” to “
low ”.
"
This means that the probability of activation of the 'Ecowatt red' signal is very limited, even if it cannot be ruled out in the event of intense cold and major uncertainties in production
", explains RTE.
