Fire and rescue teams from the Beer Sheva station were rushed to the scene of the incident and when they arrived at the scene they recognized that it was the crash of a light plane that was on fire and apparently contained two trapped people.
The firefighters strived for contact and are now working for rescue at the same time as extinguishing operations and preventing the spread of the fire.

Deputy Tafsar Assaf Abutbol said: "This is a crash of a light plane at a Chukat intersection on a main road. In this type of incident, it is a more complex rescue because of the amount of fuel in the plane and the complexity of the incident."
Dr. Shapir Butner, director of the paramedic school in MDA who lives nearby and arrived at the scene said: "This is a very difficult incident.
The plane with the two passengers crashed on the runway and caught fire.
The fire brigade worked on the scene and when we could we got closer.
The sights were very difficult.
Unfortunately, we located two casualties at the scene without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine their death."
