A one-and-a-half-year-old boy was hit by a school bus, and died of very serious injuries.
The tragedy occurred in Casette d'Ete (Fermo) shortly after the mother had put her sister on the same vehicle.
Investigations are underway to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
Perhaps the boy, who was on the sidewalk, wanted to follow his sister on the school bus and moved towards the road just as the bus was reversing.
The child ended up under the right rear wheel of the vehicle.
Up to now no elements have emerged against the driver and the tests and checks would also be negative.
The carabinieri of Porto Sant'Elpidio and the traffic police intervened on the spot.
