The municipal council of Pliening has given its general approval for the project.

Landsham – New building land could be designated to the south east of Landsham.

In its March meeting, the Pliening Municipal Council decided with 12:5 votes to be “fundamentally positive” about the project.

It is an agricultural area south of Ottersberger Weg, between the western residential development on Flurstraße and an agricultural property with a game reserve in the east.

According to the municipal administration, the owners want a single-row development on the property, which is to be accessed via a road at least six meters wide.

"In addition to single, semi-detached houses or groups of houses, smaller multi-family houses would also be conceivable," says the administration's factual presentation.

It also states that a possible designation of building land in this area had already been discussed with the owners in 2011/2012.

At that time, however, no solution could be found.

The project is now on the agenda again.

In order to create a legal basis for a new development area, the land use plan must be changed and a development plan drawn up, the town hall informs.

The municipal council included one condition in the general approval: "Before the start of the procedure, an area of 30 percent of the net building land area must be ceded by the owners to the municipality on the basis of a valuation report that has yet to be prepared."

When asked by the municipal council whether further development to the east was possible in the future as a result of the new designation, Mayor Roland Frick and head of the building department Martin Schmidt-Roschow answered with a clear "no".

The limit then reached must not be exceeded.
