The Israeli women's team tonight (Wednesday) finished the 2021 European Championship qualifiers for women in an away game that took place in Florence with an unprecedented defeat, 12: 0 against the Italians.
The team led by Gabi Burstein suffered the record loss of the women's team, with the previous defeat being 9: 0 against Switzerland in a campaign in the summer of 2014. Either way, the women finished in 5th place at home, with 7 points after 10 games.
The Italians rose from second place with 25 points.
At least for Israelis, there is not much to tell about the embarrassing 90 minutes. Because already after half an hour the scoreboard showed 5: 0 to the Italians and in the half the visitors went down to the break with a humiliating lag of seven goals. In the second half, nothing changed, as the blue and white team conceded five more goals to Fortuna Robin's net.
