Elections in the East: There is a recipe against the AfD

2019-09-01T08:25:22.782Z

Hundreds of thousands will vote for the AfD in Brandenburg and Saxony. Some, perhaps, but many, despite the Party's true ideology. That leaves only one strategy.

This picture actually says everything about the AFD and the elections in the East. It shows the first series of the "funeral march", to which the AfD had called for 1 September 2018 in Chemnitz. Andreas Kalbitz, Jörg Urban and Björn Höcke, the AfD leading candidates for Brandenburg, Saxony and Thuringia march side by side. Right behind (no joke) makes Pegida founder Lutz Bachmann - you know, who sometimes calls refugees "livestock" and German politicians like to see "shot downright" - just a selfie. Maybe he also films the people behind him, proud of this alliance.

To this alliance belonged well-known Nazis, for example one of the leading minds of the 2009 banned "Heimattreuen Deutsche Jugend" (HDJ). In 2007, Mr. Kalbitz also visited a secret "camp" of this far-right organization. "Supposedly," as he says himself, "to take a look at this". A grown man who has only speculations about his own motivations.

Swastika banner on the balcony

In 2007 Kalbitz traveled to Athens with Nazis known to the police, where the group attached a swastika banner to their hotel balcony. In retrospect, said the SPIEGEL now, the Nazi march to which the group had traveled, "was not pleased" to "arouse my further interest or approval."

Allegedly without any interest or approval, Kalbitz has seen many other far-right organizations and associations over the past 25 years. A strange hobby that he somehow does not seem to be in control of.

"Aryans" prefer not to say them anymore

Kalbitz, Höcke and Urban stand for the AFD national associations, which have the best chances of election results beyond 20 percent. Above all, they represent the true core of the party.

Ideologically one is in these circles completely unanimous with Nazis: There is a "German people" and that a genetically defined. It is better than the other "peoples" and must therefore be "defended". For example, against the constant annoying memory of the horrific crimes committed by this supposedly better "people". And against the "self-destruction" through "multicultural propaganda" (Kalbitz).

Or, to say it with Jörg Urban: "A people can only preserve their own unity and freedom, if it remains largely homogeneous." These and many other interesting sentences from Urban's mouth or feather can be read at Netzpolitik.org in the constitutional protection report on the AfD. The word "Aryan" rather do not use the AfD superiors, instead Kalbitz says "Ethnodeutsche" instead. Of course, the same is meant.

"To bring down the regime"

Jörg Urban would like to bring the "current regime to collapse". Andreas Kalbitz once said the following sentence at an event: "We do not want a piece of cake, we want the bakery!" Applause in the hall.

But until you finally have the bakery, you have to pretend that you do not mean it that way. Until the hard, racial-racist nationalist core of the AfD can finally speak publicly as he thinks. For this, this annoying liberal democratic order has gone.

The truth is always "baiting"

Mostly, Kalbitz, perhaps because of its difficult to be beautiful past, apparently adheres to a self-imposed rule: that you have to publicly speak always civilized nicely. But that only helps if the listeners really really listen away and ignore all the signs and insights that make it clear what the AfD really is.

If you clearly pronounce the facts, which are truly quoted, members and claughters of the AfD reliably respond with the same reproach: "Hetze". Check out the forum under this column later. Or in the under this. For the AfD, the truth about its essence would not be "hate speech" any more if it were to take off the mask.

Despite all this, several hundred thousand people in Afghans and Saxons may vote for the AFD this Sunday, and many more in Thuringia at the end of August.

A few questions for the fans of the "folkish"

Some of them may themselves be supporters of the Volkish ideology. It would be nice to ask these people, for example:

  • Whether children of immigrants can be "Volksdeutsche", and if so, whether it depends on their country of origin.
  • And if not, from how many generations on "German soil" you can participate in the "German people". And where exactly the boundaries of this definition-rich "German soil" are.
  • Even if people whose surnames can end in -ski, -glu, -cek, -gül, -o, -ow, -demir or -eau can be "Volksdeutsche".

You would not have good answers, there is no. But maybe that would still make some pondering.

The ideology of the AfD is incompatible with a liberal democracy

Many others will only vote for the AfD because they somehow feel that West Germany has treated them badly. And that - for whatever reason - just a hydraulic engineer from Meissen, a supposedly studied ex-soldier from Munich and a teacher from the Rhine can help them to get rid of this feeling finally.

That is their right. But if one does not believe in the Volkish ideology, it is a grave mistake.

The right of the representatives of all other parties is to operate around this party accordingly. There can never be any kind of government involvement of the AfD in Germany, because the AfD ideology is incompatible with a liberal democracy. And by the way also with a globalized present and future. That is why the AfD is the only German party to deny the man-made climate crisis.

It is only with constant lies

In Italy, the five-star movement and the Social Democrats have just made it, finally, one might say: Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has lost his power game, now his right-wing Lega is in opposition. The right-wing radicals and extremists who reject the principles of liberal democracies are usually by no means majority.

Democratic parties must deal with them accordingly. Such parties can only attract larger groups of voters as their leaders obfuscate, conceal, and downplay their true intentions. It is only with constant lies.

You can not let them get away with that.
