There are four motorway networks in which tariff increases have been triggered since yesterday, despite the so-called Milleproroghe Decree having deferred increases that were expected from January 1 for most of the national network. A press release from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) states that it has authorized a variation of + 1.20% for the company Concessioni Autostradali Venete (which manages, with toll, the A4 Passante di Mestre and the A57 Tagenziale di Mestre) , of + 4.88% for the Autostrada Padana (the A21 Piacenza Cremona Brescia), of 3.79% for the BreBeMi (the A35 that connects Milan to Brescia) and of 0.80% for the Lombardy Pedemontana (A36 junction between A8 in Cassano Magnago and the SP ex SS 35 in Lentate sul Seveso and A60 ring road in Varese).

The increases for RAV, SAT, Strada dei Parchi, Satap (A4), Milano Serravalle, Brescia Padova, Autostrade per l'Italia, Asti-Cuneo, SALT (Autocamionale della Cisa), Autostrada dei fiori (Trunk A10) are instead suspended Autostrada dei Fiori (Tronco A6), SALT (Tronco Ligure Toscano), SAV, SITAF, Tangenziale di Napoli and CAS up to the definition of the procedure for updating the Economic and Financial Plans prepared in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the Transport Regulation Authority (ART ).

The MIT also states that no tariff increase has been granted for the concession companies for which the concession contract has expired: ATIVA, Autostrada del Brennero, Autostrade Meridionali, Autovie Venete and Satap (A21). The further freezing of the tariff increases relating to previous years for the Strada dei Parchi dealerships (suspended + 12.89% for 2018 and 5.59% for 2019), Autostrade per l'Italia (suspended +0, 81% for 2019) and Milano Serravalle (suspended + 2.62% for 2019). With regard to the Strada dei Parchi Concessionaire, - the Ministry notes - the tariff increase is further suspended until 31 October 2021 pursuant to the law of 12 December 2019, no. 156 'Conversion into law, with amendments, of the decree-law 24 October 2019, n. 123, containing urgent provisions for the acceleration and completion of the reconstructions underway in the territories affected by seismic events'. The toll tariffs in force on 31 December 2017 will continue to apply on the A24 and A25 motorways.
