Tehran in Love: Iranian Film Critics Forum Chose "Synonyms" as one of this year's films

Tehran in Love: Iranian Film Critics Forum Chose "Synonyms" as one of this year's films
United KingThe recap season has shone on "synonyms." Nadav Lapid's Golden Bear Winner starred on New York Times' yearlists, British Journalism and Sound, and French publications are considered by film companies Velez Enrock. Now comes another surprising source, a forum for Iranian film critics.
The forum was organized by the Iranian cinema site Cine Eye, which includes 42 visitors, some of whom are familiar faces in the international festival scene. They were not alarmed by the growing tension in the region and placed the film in 11th place on its list of this year's films. The warming of the front between their state and the United States also did not prevent them from picking up to Hollywood cinema. Martin Scorsese's "Irish" came in first on the list. Followed by the Korean "parasites", "Trentino's Hollywood Times," "Marriage Story," and "Pedro Almodovar's Pain and Glory."
It should be noted that some of the visitors are Iranian expatriates who are now operating considerably. Also, in the English-speaking newspaper "Time Tehran" where the choice was reported, "Synonyms" was defined as "French film". However, although he is mostly French and takes place in France, his director is Israeli, as is the main star Tom Mercier, and perhaps most importantly in this regard - the Israeli film funds were involved in his production.
By the way, ironically, the news of the "Irish" and "synonymous" choices appears under a special coverage banner of Kassem Suleimani's assassination, entitled "He was more of a culture than a man."
