The driver of a car who, a few days ago, was driving against a section of the A15 and, after realizing the mistake, also reversed the gear to go where he was going was tracked by the Massa Carrara Traffic Police. He, a 90 year old from Lunigiana, had taken the highway that morning to go to the ASL of Carrara, where his wife had fixed a visit with his doctor. But after taking the Aulla tollbooth, he took the wrong road and, instead of heading towards La Spezia, he took the lane in the opposite direction towards Parma. At that point, those who were driving cars, vans and trucks and were traveling in the right direction on the motorway section, after dodging the impact with the elderly man's car, sounded the alarm at the Polstrada operations center. In the barracks the policemen withdrew his driving license, stopped the car for three months and notified a fine of about one thousand euros. He, embarrassed by what happened, apologized and said that the time had come to hang the car keys on the nail.
