This time we checked out Subaru's top vehicles. If you don't consider the "heo" models made in Israel, Subaru is the first Japanese car brand to come to Israel on a regular basis, starting in 1969 and at the height of its power in the 1980s held a 69 percent market share of the Israeli car market. Subaru finished its 2019 season with 4,418 deliveries, 1.7 percent market share and 15th among Israeli car brands.

Today the main Subaru models sold in Israel are the compact family Impreza, the XV in the small Jeep segment and the Forester in the medium Jeep group. In these three models, we chose to focus our review.

Subaru Impreza

The Impreza is the compact family of Subaru, the one in its previous incarnations also called B3 and before that Impreza and before that Grand Leone (which was also Impreza in fact) and so back to the mythological days of Leone and DL. The current generation with us in Israel in 2017 in sedan and hatchback configurations.

Price list:
The starting price of the 5-door configuration stood at NIS 134,990 and at the beginning of 2018 its price dropped to 128,990 and towards the end of that year and the beginning of 2019 rose again to 134,990. Pricing that the premium finisher sedan configuration was initially NIS 127,990 and during 2019 increased to 134,990 similar to the hatchback configuration.

The price of the 1.6-liter "Classic" was 138,990 when the model was launched and during 2019 climbed to 139,990 and 144,990 to the fully equipped version.

Forster X's price list, the entry version was NIS 179,900 at launch and increased in April 2019 by NIS 3,000 to NIS 182,990.

Even before the launch of the new generation, the outgoing model is sold at discounts of up to NIS 27,000 plus additional benefits. The new generation offers ranged from NIS 7,000 in January 2019 to NIS 3,000 in January 2020. For large customer clubs, the discount was even more generous and stood at between NIS 11,000 and NIS 13,000, and this is also an additional accessory worth several thousand shekels.
