Liliane, 46, and her 8-year-old son Tony were burned alive in a car in Pons (Charente-Maritime) on February 14. Her former spouse tried to disguise this attempted femicide accident. He has been placed in pre-trial detention and the investigation is still ongoing.

This Monday, at the time of general confinement due to the epidemic of coronavirus which affects France, Virginie, the daughter and sister of the victims, gave the Parisian good news from his family. Starting with his 8 year old brother who was most seriously injured in this drama of violence committed by ex-companions.

"Tony, his condition is improving and his care is going well, but he is still in intensive care. We manage to talk to him and that is great, even if he is struggling and that he has to force a little ”, Virginie tells us with emotion. “He is still in Bordeaux. In a short time, he will go to intensive care, because he still has skin grafting operations to undergo, ”specifies the young woman.

Liliane in a rehabilitation center

Her mother Liliane is much better. She left the hospital and joined a rehabilitation center. Her condition has greatly improved, even if her morale fluctuates, and she speaks regularly with her children and relatives. She also wanted to record a message for all the people who supported her, and young Tony, during these difficult times.

Good morning all,

“We received a lot of support. My mother made her cry. So, she insisted on sharing these few words with them. I was afraid of the critics, but there were a lot of messages to tell me that my mother is a strong woman, "said Virginie, who had launched a participatory prize pool on the Leetch i platform (Femicide attempt, help me to save my mother and my brother, note) to alleviate their financial difficulties.

"She comes back to life"

Liliane is not, however, at the end of her sentence to regain her best health. “She still has a lot of pain and she is traumatized. She talks a lot about the drama, it saves her from thinking about it when she is alone. We often have it by camera, she's on Ventoline to help her breathe, ”explains the student. "She is coming back to life," she enthuses.

Welcomed at the home of a friend of his parents, Tony's big sister is struggling with the confinement that separates her from her family. "I don't see them, it will be a month this Sunday. I don't see it well, but I can see them on cam, my mother even once a day. ” She is very worried about the coronavirus, especially since Liliane already had respiratory problems before the tragedy.

“I really want to go see my family as soon as possible. I am 150 km from them, it's very hard to live. I have been a little relieved for a few days, because my mother is really better and Tony is fighting every day. I will be happy when they get home, ”says Virginie, a smile in her voice.
