Coronavirus: transfer of new patients from Ile-de-France to Brittany on Sunday (ARS)

New Ile-de-France patients with Covid-19 will be transferred on Sunday to two medical trains in Brittany, we learned on Saturday in a press release from the Brittany Regional Health Agency.

"In the context of the Coronavirus epidemic and in order to provide support to health establishments in the Ile-de-France region, a new patient medical evacuation operation is organized in the direction of Brittany" , informs the ARS. "After having welcomed six patients from the Haut-Rhin on March 25 and on April 1, 36 patients from Ile-de-France, several dozen patients from Ile-de-France will be transferred to Brittany," explains the ARS.

Two sanitary trains will be mobilized on Sunday. “The first train will transport patients to Vannes, Lorient and Quimper. The second train will allow the transfer of patients distributed between Rennes, Saint-Malo, Morlaix and Brest ” , specifies the ARS.

"This transfer operation results from close collaboration with the SAMUs of Brittany and Ile-de-France, the medical teams of the departure and destination health establishments, the SNCF, the Army Health Service, the Management Générale de la Santé, the ARS Ile-de-France and prefects of the departments concerned ”, underlines the agency.
