Last March, Apple agreed to pay $ 500 million to settle a class action lawsuit in the United States that slowed down old iPhones without users' knowledge, to make them upgrade the device. "Battery Street".

The judge rejected the final date of approval for the Corona crisis, but it can be estimated that this is a green light for the deal and the end of the case. However, the compensation that customers receive is only $ 25. Apple's attorneys argued that this was a fair deal because every client would receive the cash. And so did the judge who considered the case, stating that "the deal is reasonable and worthwhile."

In December 2017, the company admitted to its customers that it intentionally slowed down older iPhone models. After she managed to provoke a storm in the company, she explained that the goal was to "provide the best user experience for users."

Later, in early 2018, Apple announced that starting in late January of that year, the use of slowed devices - the iPhone 6 and higher - will receive a discount on the purchase of a new battery. But some did not like the step Apple decided to take - and filed dozens of lawsuits consolidated into one class action lawsuit.

The lawsuit only includes US citizens who have, or still have, iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus or SE, running iOS OS 10.2.1 or 11.2 or higher, purchased before December 21 2017.
