The coming summer also brings with it the dangers in the private pools and at sea, especially for children and babies. One small moment of inattention can end in disaster. This kind of incident occurred on Saturday when two-year-old Perry of Hadera drowned to death in a private pool, and toddler about a year old from Ashdod was evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. Due to the multitude of cases, various Israeli companies have developed technologies that will prevent such cases in the future - and save lives.

One of the technologies is the Israeli startup Coral Identification Systems Ltd. in the Clear Future Foundation. In a market called Coral Manta.

The solution comes from the worlds of artificial intelligence and combines computer vision and machine learning, and after "training" millions of images, the algorithm is able to detect humans, children and adults who are underwater in drowning mode and alert. The system allows 24/7 monitoring of the pool, without having to neutralize it with a bathtub inlet (unlike pool alarms that need to be neutralized when using the pool).

Another technology is Sightbit, which was developed by Ben-Gurion University graduates with the support of the 360 Entrepreneurship Center and the Cactus Capital Investment Fund, and will alert lifeguards at Palm Beach to the dangers of lurking for bathers. The system maps bathers' locations, warns of potential drowning hazards, changes in sea data - such as unexpected waves and currents, and provides control over the movement of various populations in general, and children in particular.

Another solution is the KidiWatch smart watch allows a virtual area of activity for children at the beach and in the pools, and when crossing the clock will alert the parent's smartphone. The watch is water resistant and also incorporates a selfie camera that allows the child to photograph and teach a remote photo of the operation area, the possibility of sending voice messages, and the function of the SOS button for emergency call.
