The weekend ended with a drama in Sainte-Marie-de-Gosse, in the south-east of the Landes department. A violent argument broke out between a father, his daughter and his 29-year-old companion, according to Sud-Ouest.
The 65-year-old man, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, seized a rifle. His son-in-law managed to disarm him, according to France 3 Nouvelle Aquitaine. But the argument continued all the more.
The young woman insisted that her companion leave with her. It was then that the father planted a 20 cm knife in the back of the young man who was returning to his car.
The latter died shortly after help arrived. The alleged murderer was arrested and taken into police custody.
