Do you run out of smartphone battery fast? You will no longer have to carry a portable battery in your bag • Get to know the Chinese technology giant's new patent that could change everything you know

Can't leave the smartphone? Chinese cellular maker iQOO, a brand of Vivo, first introduced Flashcharge, a technology it announced last year and is considered the fastest in the world at 120 watts. How fast? You can charge your smartphone from 0 to 100 percent in just 15 minutes.

The company posted a demo video on the Chinese social network Weib and showed how a 4,000 mAh battery managed to charge from 0 to 50% in just five minutes, and then to 100% in 10 minutes in total. Given that battery life remains largely limited due to the physical size of the batteries, many companies have put emphasis on trying to find solutions that will allow us to charge the smartphones quickly without compromising battery life.

And Vivo is not alone. Chinese smartphone giant Oppo also announced yesterday that it is working on a similar fast-charging solution with a power of 120 watts, which it will unveil on July 15. And this is not a surprise, the two companies - both Vivo and Oppo belong of course this is not a huge surprise - both Opo and Vivo are owned by one large concern called BBK Electronics.
