Two vehicles of the gendarmerie were set on fire in the enclosure of the barracks of Pornic (Loire-Atlantique), in the night from Sunday to Monday. An administrative building was also blackened by the fire, which took place around 3 a.m. The progression of the flames was stopped thanks to the intervention of the firefighters, who, according to Ouest-France, "saw nothing in particular".
"The investigation is underway to determine the circumstances," said the Loire-Atlantique gendarmes.
Four vehicles set on fire in May
This is not the first time that such facts have occurred south of the Loire: last January, three gendarmerie vehicles were found burnt at the barracks of the neighboring town of Saint-Brévin. In May, four vehicles were also set on fire.
