Now it's official: the new iPhones will not hit stores in September. During a conversation with reporters on the occasion of the publication of the company's financial statements, Luca Mystery, the technology giant's CFO, revealed that the iPhone 12 series will not be launched in September, but a few weeks later.
"Last year we started selling the new iPhones at the end of September. This year we estimate that the supply will be available a few weeks later," Mystery said. In his remarks he did not reveal the reason for the delay, but the rumors about it are nothing new. The outbreak of the Corona virus has led to the closure of Apple's plants in China in recent months, and severe damage to the supply chain, day-to-day production and shipments.
Meanwhile, there is no connection to the announcement event in September, and it may still take place as planned. Technology giant Apple has a habit of holding the event every year a week before the new products hit stores - and it looks like things will change a bit this year.
