The incident erupted in mid-air, Friday July 31. Two alcoholic passengers refused to wear a mask, although it was compulsory, and started a fight. They were on board a plane of the Dutch company KLM, which connected Schiphol (Netherlands) to Ibiza (Spain), reports the Belgian press agency Belga, this Sunday.
The scene was filmed and the images were broadcast by the Dutch channel AT5. According to a witness cited by this local television station, a passenger who was not wearing a mask walked down the aisle just before landing and challenged the other travelers.

"The man was almost at the front of the plane and, as no one responded to his provocations, he hit another passenger," said the witness. The assaulted individual defended himself and a fight broke out. “It took 5 to 6 men to bring the person down,” he adds.
Arrested in Ibiza
On their arrival in Ibiza, the two troublemakers, who are not of Dutch nationality according to KLM, were held on board by order of the pilot. “The passengers helped” with this task, the company's spokesperson told Belga.
The two men were then arrested by the Spanish authorities for not wearing a mask and for the inconvenience caused to other travelers. The safety of passengers was not threatened at any time, says KLM.
