With We Charge, customers can recharge their car in more than 150,000 points across Europe, of which more than 10,000 in Italy. Available from September, the We Charge card offers the possibility to access about 75% of the public recharging points present in Italy today, with reduced rates and dedicated conditions for using the Ionity high-power network. With We Charge, Volkswagen is aiming for a charging ecosystem that simplifies daily use of the electric car as much as possible.

We Charge offers numerous digital functions related to the charging ecosystem that can be used via We Connect ID., The smartphone application dedicated to electric mobility.

Users can easily locate all available We Charge charging points and know their operating status and tariffs. Today, the We Charge network includes about 75% of the public charging points in Italy.

Intelligent navigation integrates the availability of charging stations and user preferences into the route calculation, a very useful function in particular when planning long journeys.

By the end of the year, another 50 will be added: in particular 10 in Italy, for a total of 20. The project involves the construction of 400 stations in total, to create the best and most powerful charging network for electric cars in the main European transport corridors.
