The Israeli start-up company "NanoScent", which two months ago presented a kit for diagnosing corona patients within 30 seconds using an odor, is launching a campaign today (Sunday) to diagnose the virus all the way home. The company calls on Israelis who have performed PCR tests in the past week - even if the result is negative - to participate in the experiment. Register here .

The "Owl" kit was developed with the help of the Innovation Authority, Netafim and the Ministry of Health, and includes a sniffing system based on nanometer sensors for early detection of the corona virus. The electronic parts are manufactured by DreamTech from South Korea.

Interested in participating? You will first be required to answer a telephone survey, and then a protected Nanosent team will come to you to take a mucosal sample. The goal of the Israeli start-up company is to confirm the model and bring about 100% reliability of the test - as in a standard pen test.

The company notes that it is a member of Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, and after the solution was successfully tested among many patients, the pilot was also expanded to MDA drive-in stations around the country and a number of hospitals, including Ichilov, Tel Aviv, and Poria. In Tiberias, which is now in the final stages.

The kit is intended for screening instead of a heat test, and it has been found that its efficiency is greater than that of heat measurement. It does not replace the diagnosis of the disease with the help of the pens, but gives a preliminary indication so that it can be used in crowded places - for example, at border crossings and at the entrance to workplaces.

Meanwhile, Benanocent notes that it has received inquiries from major airports and industrial companies around the world requesting to purchase the product from it.
