It was a sad weekend to be an Israeli citizen watching TV. Four disgusting stations in the weekend broadcasts teach, malfunction after malfunction, how much we are underestimated. Politicians, policemen, media people - do not count the public.

    A. Ofira and Berkowitz, the Minister of the Environment, Gila Gamliel, went to the popular corner "Get the government ministers out of their minds". In a series of pearls, in a failed attempt to explain why her party is turning the table and why a signed coalition agreement is grossly violated, Gamliel explained that although * an agreement was * signed, "there should be no adherence to the text." It's impossible to invent. Even Asaig and Berkowitz tore her laughter in the face. It's hard to blame them.

It's not even a "correct statement of principle for the time being" from Gantz's creator, it's a new degree of contempt for intelligence. Not every day Sarah in Israel publicly admits that her word is worth nothing. Aim for transparency.

    B. In the evening, "Ulpan Shishi", one could watch the unified panel of commentators, more harmonious than ever - until a comment by Israel Today editor Boaz Bismuth jumped Roni Daniel, and another comment later jumped Guy Peleg, leading to an ugly exchange between two people on the face of it Who despise each other. Between "We Know What the Newspaper You Are Editing Looks Like" or "I Embed Poloys for Your Articles in the Gossip Sections," the TV etiquette kept it low.

A normal viewer will wonder what the point is in the first place, since the editors of "Ulpan Shishi" are well acquainted with the dynamics that take place in this ensemble. After all, this is not the first time it has ended in mutual bites under the belt. Therefore, we can only conclude that this is exactly what the captains of the system want to provoke, that these quarrels are what they are trying to sell us: an overt attempt by a journalistic system to shoot itself in the foot, and allow participants to despise each other - and especially viewers - live. It's not a bug - it's a feature that sells mutual dumping as "balance". For the first time it's a TV embarrassment, for the first time who knows how much they can give up once they start arguing and moving a channel.

third. A day later, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi arrived on the "Meet the Press" program. Surprisingly, as part of the spin and the deep contempt that accompanies it, Likud spokesmen were quick to issue a response accusing Ashkenazi - mind you - of "refusing to comment" on anything he was not even asked about, with details of the spin. Rina Matzliach explained that this was probably a response prepared even before the broadcast. Ashkenazi tried in vain to wonder what the connection was.

And really, what's the connection? Fulfilled the political spokesmen who rush to throw mud. It is hard to say that this is surprising in the political climate in which we live. The question is why does bother bother to distribute and bring to the broadcast an irrelevant spin in response that is irrelevant to what has been said? All about automatic? In the current political turmoil, when it is so important to separate facts and message of a campaign for the future, a successful person has fallen into the trap and watched with it.

    D. The evening came to an end with the regular demonstrations in Balfour. The network burned out videos documenting police violence, while the three channels continued to broadcast as usual "Survival", "School of Music" and a rerun of "Manaich", declaring themselves once again as irrelevant media to cover the phenomenon.

One of the videos provoked a special outrage: the fact that a lieutenant colonel in the police force was attacking demonstrators - in a way that can in no way be justified - shocking and outrageous. No matter what a protester does, police violence like the one seen in the video is wrong. It is impossible to remain indifferent to this moment, or to other harsh recordings from the event, which ostensibly indicated an excessive use of force against demonstrators, with the word excessive being the key word.

The reporters on the ground demanded answers from the officers, only to find that none of them were modest enough to say: it could be that the force was excessive, it could be that we were wrong in managing the incident, it could be that we should have reacted differently. There may have been a spotty error even in the judgment. No. Nothing of the sort. In some of the main channels, perhaps even in all three, they were absolutely right to show the videos themselves in parallel with the interviews, so that they could be judged. One of the officers agreed to admit that "using force is something that does not look good". Ah. Because that's the problem. A question of photogenicity.

Spins, idle quarrels, reactions that assume everyone is dumb, horrible videos. On a weekend like this, it's very difficult to decide what's the worst moment on TV. And the worst thing? That it feels completely normal.
