GM Bolt electric sedan continues alongside EUV crossover

On the occasion of the virtual GM Fleet Solutions Summit dedicated to professional fleet buyers, Chevrolet anticipated what will be the next range of its electric vehicles, officially clarifying what will be the future of the current Bolt EV model. With the launch of the new generation of this battery-powered compact (which will therefore not disappear as it was previously assumed) GM will expand the offer in the electric segment with an unprecedented crossover called EUV, which means Electric Utility Vehicle. Bolt EUV will be based, like the Bolt EV, on GM's BEV2 platform instead of the Ultium platform, the one on which the new Cadillac Lyriq was developed. Both models will go into production in the summer of next year to be launched in US dealerships as Model Year 2022.

Bolt EUV will be the first Chevrolet to offer GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance system, which is currently only available for Cadillacs.
