The Rhône firefighters intervened around 1 a.m. after a shooting that took place around a bar-tabac, rue du 4 August, near the city center of Villeurbanne, a town bordering Lyon.
The four injured are a 24-year-old woman and three 26-year-old men, according to a police source. The vital prognosis of one of the men is engaged, according to corroborating sources. An investigation for attempted homicide was entrusted to the DIPJ of Lyon.

According to Cédric Van Styvendael, PS mayor of Villeurbanne, it was two people, carried on a two-wheeler, who opened fire on several individuals in front of the bar-tobacco.
If the town councilor refused to "predict the conclusions of the investigation", he described the shooting as "settling of scores" in a press release and asked for a reinforcement of the police force for his city. He also noted that the victims "were gathered in a bar which had no reason to be open at that time".
"This establishment had been the subject, at my request, of an administrative closure in July", he added.
At the beginning of June, two shootings in 24 hours had been recorded in this town.
