Could the Covid-19 epidemic be marking time in some large cities?
In its weekly bulletin, Public Health France (SPF) recalls that all the indicators are up in the monitoring of Sars-CoV-2 for the week of September 7.
But in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Haute-Garonne or the Alpes-Maritimes, some very recent signals may seem encouraging.
This is also the case in Gironde.
"We have indeed in the department, and in Bordeaux in particular, a plateau since the beginning of the month,"
confirms Sophie Larrieu, epidemiologist at SPF.
In this department,
“the first week of September, we reached an incidence rate of 174 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate of 8.4%.
The following week, the incidence rate dropped to 144 and the positivity rate to 7.6% ”.
No downward slope according to her but a
"certain stabilization of the viral circulation at a high level"
.
