Opel's new course began with the launch of the GT X Experimental concept car, through which the Russelsheim-based brand revealed the details and stylistic features of its concept of future mobility.
Today that concept comes to life in the forms of the new Opel Mokka, unveiled to the public in streaming directly by the CEO Michael Lohscheller in the headquarters of the lightning house in Russelsheim.

New Opel Mokka, now also electric
'' With Mokka, the electrification process started with the new Corsa-e continued '', the CEO specified, however, recalling that the electrification of the range does not only concern cars (in addition to full electric motors, also the plug-in versions of Grandland X ) but also the commercial range with Vivaro-e and Zafira-e Life.

The new generation of Opel Mokka, which sports the new look of the brand, will in fact be available in thermal and full electric versions, giving the customer the possibility to choose the most suitable power supply based on the use of the vehicle.
Prices start at 22,200 euros for the petrol version, which become 34,000 for the full electric (which can be purchased for 23,000 thanks to incentives and scrapping, 27,500 without exchange).
'' This is a car that we have created from scratch, with an unprecedented passion and totally committed to driving Opel into a bright and exciting future, '' said the CEO.
An opinion similar to that expressed by Jurgen Klopp, Opel brand ambassador, among the first to drive it and to recognize the '' cool '' aspect of this car.
4.15 meters long, the new Opel Mokka is the brand's first model to wear the brand's new face, the Opel Vizor.
The same goes for the new Opel Blitz lightning emblem and the centrally aligned model name on the rear.
The interior also reflects the clear philosophy.
The new Opel Pure Panel integrates two large screens and focuses on the essentials.

For the first time in Opel history, the new Mokka will be available from the start of sales with an all-electric version.
The electric motor produces 100 kW (136 hp) with 260 Newton meter of maximum torque immediately available from the start.
Drivers can choose from three driving modes - Normal, Eco and Sport - for a balance of performance or fun, depending on their preferences.
The maximum speed is limited to 150 km / h to optimize the energy stored in the 50 kWh battery.
To make traveling in the new Opel Mokka-e even more relaxing, Opel connect, the myOpel app and Free2move Services, the mobility brand of Groupe PSA, offer special solutions for electric vehicles.
The lively but economical petrol and diesel engines offer power ranging from 74 kW (100 hp) to 96 kW (130 hp).
The new Mokka remains true to Opel's tradition of making innovative technologies from higher segments available to a wide range of buyers.
These include advanced systems such as Advanced Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Lane Positioning.
The lighting system also offers state-of-the-art technologies with the adaptive and thus glare-free IntelliLux LED matrix with 14 elements, unique in the Opel Mokka market segment.
All versions are equipped with an electric parking brake and traffic sign recognition as standard.
A 180-degree rear view camera and Automatic Park Assist are also available. 10 inch high resolution colors.
