The author of the chopper attack that occurred last Friday, in front of the former premises of Charlie Hebdo, in Paris, admitted to being 25 years old and not 18, confirmed during a press conference the antiterrorist prosecutor Jean- François Ricard, Tuesday.
During the 96-hour police custody that ended on Tuesday, the assailant initially challenged his true identity, before admitting that he was not the man born in 2002 that he claimed to be.
It is also under his real identity, that of a 25-year-old man, that he appears in a video of a little over 2 hours, found on his cellphone and broadcast on social networks, in which he expresses his anger at the publication of cartoons of Muhammad and announces that he will commit his act.
The investigation is now entrusted to investigating judges who should indict the assailant for "attempted murder" terrorist.
