Monday, September 18, a vast operation of arrests and searches had taken place in Ajaccio, carried out by the judicial police supported by the Raid, the elite body of the national police, on rogatory commission from a judge of the specialized interregional jurisdiction from Marseille (Jirs).

If the alleged leader of the “Petit Bar” gang, Jacques Santoni, 42 years old and quadriplegic, was arrested at his home and indicted in this affair with three other people, three of his lieutenants were not at hand. their home at the time of the net and were still wanted on Wednesday.
"The investigating judge decided to relinquish the judicial police," said a source familiar with the case, recalling that this was not the first time that "leaks" were suspected in investigations into organized crime carried out by the island judicial police.
On September 13, 2018, while driving in broad daylight at the wheel of an armored car in Ajaccio, Guy Orsoni, son of the former nationalist leader Alain Orsoni, was targeted by the passenger of a motorcycle armed with an assault rifle.
Wounded in the shoulder, he had managed to escape his two attackers by fleeing in his vehicle towards the city center.

A month later, Guy Orsoni was himself arrested in Ajaccio while riding a stolen motorcycle with another man, and carrying bags containing weapons and balaclavas.
He was indicted and imprisoned by the Marseille prosecutor's office on October 25, 2018 for "criminal association with a view to committing a crime".
