Apple
usually accompanies the launch of its new iPhone with structural changes in its stock of products, particularly those it offers in its official online store.
And the launch of the iPhone 12 did not alter that custom, since from this Wednesday
two high-end terminals were no longer available
for sale.
Apple stopped selling the
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max
smartphones on its official channels
, after presenting the new generation of iPhone 12, but it will keep the standard iPhone 11 in its catalog at a discounted price.
The withdrawal of both models
occurred just hours after
the American company presented its successors on Tuesday, the new
iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max
, along with the standard iPhone 12 models and the new 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, all of them with
5G connectivity.
The iPhone 11 Pro said goodbye to the official Apple store.
Apple's official online store stopped showing the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, which had been released worldwide for just 13 months.
In their place now appear the brand new
iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max
, for the same price: 1,159 and 1,259 dollars, respectively, in their basic configurations with 128 GB of storage space.
For its part, the arrival of the standard iPhone 12
did not mean the disappearance of its predecessor
, the iPhone 11, which continues in the Apple catalog with a reduced price: it went from $ 809 with which it was launched to
$ 689
in its
basic version 64 GB.
iPhone 11 Pro was removed from the official Apple store 13 months after its launch.

It is not the first time that Apple has made such a decision after introducing new products.
Its 2017 flagship
iPhone X
was only on sale for 10 months, before being retired with the arrival of the iPhone XS in 2018.
Last June, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max were
linked to technical problems
.
A number of users reported on social media that they experienced
a uniform
green color
on their device screen
after being unlocked.
As explained by affected users on forums such as
Reddit or Macrumors
, the problem began after updating the operating system to
versions iOS 13.4 or iOS 13.5
, although they did not know with certainty what was actually causing this particular coloration of the screen.
The green color appeared uniformly on the screen a few seconds after the user unlocked the device.
Although most of those affected pointed out the problem on the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max,
it was also discovered on some iPhone Xs.
The problem disappeared when the affected update to
the beta version of iOS 13.5.5, which suggested that it was purely a software glitch.
