Actor Jeff Bridges has announced that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma
The renowned American actor, best known for his role in the movie "Big Lebowski", announced on Twitter that he had lymphoma, a cancer that affects the lymph nodes.
"Even though it's a serious illness, I'm lucky the prognosis is good," Bridges tweeted.

Renowned American actor Jeff Bridges announced yesterday (Monday) on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
"I was diagnosed with lymphoma," he wrote.
"Even though it is a serious illness, I feel lucky to have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I am starting treatment and will keep you updated on my recovery."
As detailed on the website of the Association for the War on Cancer, lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph nodes.
The lymphatic system is one of the body's natural ways to protect itself from infections.
It is made up of lymph organs such as bone marrow, thymus and spleen, as well as lymph nodes connected by a network of tiny lymph ducts.
The glands are located all over the body.
